Following the interval training on Tuesday, recorded times and feedback were given to the group via email.
We will be training in the same area next week but parking/changing facilities should be back to normal. The variation of training environment provides a positive challenge and stimulus for the competitive runners amongst us in preparation for competition. Think about how unfamiliar the route is on race day. Even on courses that we think we know well there are often variations on race day, changes to the road/path surface, unexpected conditions, all of which can distract us away from optimum performance. Experiencing similar changes in routine training prepares us well for such challenges.
See you all next week – come prepared with fresh legs and a recovery drink, it will be hard!
