Tuesday Run Session
Following the interval training on Tuesday, recorded times and feedback were given to the group via email.
We will be training in the same area next week but parking/changing facilities should be back to normal. The variation of training environment provides a positive challenge and stimulus for the competitive runners amongst us in preparation for competition.
Think about how unfamiliar the route is on race day. Even on courses that we think we know well there are often variations on race day, changes to the road/path surface, unexpected conditions, all of which can distract us away from optimum performance.
Experiencing similar changes in routine training prepares us well for such challenges.
See you all next week – come prepared with fresh legs and a recovery drink, it will be hard!
Wednesday Watt Bike Session
A 10mile TT formed the last of our watt bike sessions for this season. The TT is used to access fitness when comparing with previous times or to set a bench mark for those that had not done one before.
Next Wednesday the Watt Bike session will be replaced by the first of our Chain Gang ride – meet at Lyme Valley Stadium, 6:30pm. In the event of rain the Chain Gang will be cancelled, please check your emails/website for notification.
Dive practise and CSS pace training this week.
Thanks to our 3 group leaders this week for navigating the rides which took place during the driest part of day.
Sunday Steady Run Group
A wet start to the day didn’t put everybody off!
