Our running sessions consist of a weekly interval session at Newcastle Rugby Club in the winter and Keele University Sports Centre in the summer, plus steady group runs from Newcastle Football Club on Thursdays and Ford Green Hall every Sunday. These sessions are organised by a level 3 coach and get the best out of every athlete – whatever your level of ability.
Interval sessions are a great way of building speed and stamina and enable you to calculate stride length and rate. They help you to develop a consistent pace which is important in all races where there is the temptation to set off too quickly!
These sessions vary from week to week and include threshold training, pyramids and intervals. The aim is for every runner to improve their technique, speed and running economy that will help him or her in regard to triathlon and duathlon.
They take place on Tuesdays at 6pm from Newcastle RUFC in the winter and Keele University Sports Centre in the summer.

On Thursday the run is between six and eight miles from Newcastle Football Club car park.
On Sunday we meet at 8am and 9am at Ford Green Hall, Smallthorne, and run a series of loops of 2 miles, 5 miles and 9 miles. Do just one, or do them all, so there is a distance to suit everyone, from beginner through to marathon runners.
